I created KOA with hopes to inspire others to make wellness an integral part of their daily lives. Wellness to me, means happiness. What makes me feel happy: movement, exercise, food from plants, breathing, being present, a long hot bath, a cold shower, inner work, nature & human connection.

By pairing KOA Barre & Yoga classes your body, mind and soul will get the wellness workouts they deserve.
Barre, with its high cardio and muscle quivering exercises will have your mind racing and heart pounding!
Yoga takes you to a much more controlled, grounded, and self-reflective space. Actions of yoga are there to rejuvenate the 12 bodily systems. The shapes in yoga are a form to stimulate internal healing of the body, mind, and spirit. There is a strong focus on breath work, which will help when you get to the barre.
During a KOA Barre class we target muscles by contracting, isolating, and performing tiny movements with each muscle group. These techniques cause the muscle tissue to tear. Each tear builds back up stronger than before.
However, in yoga we focus on the muscle fibre that already exists and work on increasing its capacity.
